I read this book when it first came out I bought my copy at the Iowa State University bookstore in or thereabouts and still consider it the most important tome in my mentalism library, with T. This book has some great chapters that will be of interest to magicians of all levels; however, the material in the book is a bit dated and is slanted heavily toward mentalism and comedy magic.

Useful to anyone not just magicians. If you haven’t heard the term, to gloss means to scribble marginalia in the book you are reading to explain obscure passages, qnd intermediate steps in an argument, cross-reference to other sources, etc.
